From March 2018 to March 2020, I wrote a column in the Winnipeg REALTORS' Real Estate News called "This Neighbourhood in History". It was a shorter-form replacement for the iconic Heritage Highlights column by Kip Park in the 1990s and Bruce Cherney until his retirement in January 2018. The heritage column was discontinued at the start of the COVID-19 lock down.
In it, I tried to tell the story of a neighbourhood or community through the history of two or three buildings. some communities were revisited multiple times.
The columns are preserved at the new WREN website though they do not contain the full imagery of the paper version.
