There are also a number of sad events, including the Riverview Hotel fire in Elmwood that wiped out most of a block of Nairn Avenue. As well, the CBC - Carman air disaster which claimed the lives of 6 people, including the first Chinese-Canadian to join the RCAF.

In music, hear from Juliette and a couple of musical tributes to the Arlington Bridge, which turns 102 on Thursday !

In coming events, there are FIVE retro movies playing in the city this month, plus a number of storytelling events. Tessa and I will have a run down of them.
