A great weekend downtown: Nuit Blanche, no surly Air Canada employees!
It was the best of times and the worst of times for downtown Winnipeg this weekend. I'm going to start with the best and leave the worst for tomorrow !
Nuit Blanche and Culture Days had the place humming into the wee hours of the morning. Seeing That it was almost t-shirt weather in October I opted for some of outdoor fare.
In the City Hall Courtyard was the premiere screening of Mike's Bloody Saturday. The documentary, by Strike!'s Danny Schur will be available on MTS TV shortly.
Then it was on to Portage and Main and the object formerly known as the Aspertron for another documentary called White Noise. It follows the saga of Winnipeg's relationship with the Jets from WHA entry days through to today.
At Memorial and Colony there was a trio of events. The CBC Street Party, the WAG's Nuit Blanche and the Plug in Gallery all created a great place to be until the early morning hours.

It's cool to see the Aspertron being used for public viewings... there have been at least a few that have taken place so far.
