Last year I did a post called Moody Moody Manitoba Morning, indeed about the song that probably every Manitoba school kid from the 70s or early 80s sang in choir or music class. The occasion was the cover version by Alana Levandoski that gives a whole new life to the old Bells' version !
I dug into the history of the song and of composer Rick Neufeld. After posting about it on eBrandon I found that he's really the Stompin' Tom of Manitoba, singing songs about every region of the province, (one person even found a track of a song called Souris River where the Guess Who are backing him up !)
I ended with the question where is he now and in this week's Prime News John Einarson catches up with the man !
