You'll find a history of the now-for-sale former Sals at Main and Matheson on my Winnipeg Places blog.
The for sale ad notes the the building is not compliant due to having washrooms in the basement and is "Priced for quick sale with no chance of rezoning condition". Suitable for residential block.
Sadly, there's no future for this neighbourhood landmark.
