Searching for someone else, I saw this 1979 obit for Wing Shan Lee in the Winnipeg Free Press.
I'm sure Mr. lee had a very interesting story to tell. Born in 1892, so he likely came here as a young man to build the railway. I wonder what Saskatchewan town he settle in and opened his cafe? Was he ever married? He spent 21 years in Winnipeg – all in retirement? Sadly, the answers are lost to history.
His friends thought enough of him to run this obituary for three days in the Free Press.
