On tonight's show I'll talk to Doug Carlson, author of the blog Phantom of the Paradise.ca and we'll try to figure out why Phantom was such a phenomenon in Winnipeg, and only Winnipeg. This is in advance of the Park Theatre's showing of Phantom of the Paradise on January 26th.
Also joining us is the Winnipeg Sun's Tessa Vanderhart who will tell is about the newspaper's year-long series of polls called "Your Winnipeg".
Next week is a BIG one in local sports history as the Winnipeg Victorias won their third, and final, Stanley Cup in 1902. Also, Winnipeg's Royal Alexandra Hotel was the scene of the founding convention of the Canadian Football League. The Winnipegger who pulled the league together served as its first commissioner.
