A few days ago a "Coming Soon" sign was hung from the Weir Hardware building at 666 Main Street, next to the Bell Hotel. It is for a new, three-storey commercial building with a pharmacy on the main floor that, according to the photo on the sign, will replace the Weir and the vacant lot to the north of it.
The developer is JMT Holdings, a division of JC Paving, which bought the lot from CentreVenture last year.
The Weir and the empty lot are the last two pieces of the 600 block of Main purchased by CentreVenture back in 2007 to be redeveloped.
