A history of Orioles Community Club - Part 5: Lists and Photos

The clubhouse for Orioles Community Club, now Valour Community Centre - Orioles Site, turns 75 in 2026! To celebrate, I've gone back to this 2012 blog series and made updates to links, images and information as there is a lot more archival material available online today.

On March 31, 2012, a History Show and Tell took place at Valour Community Centre - Orioles Site. Many people came out to show off photos, jackets, trophies and other memorabilia associated with the old Orioles Club. Photos from this event can be found in my Orioles Photo Album on Flickr.

Fred Dunsmore

Fred Dunsmore was likely the Orioles' biggest star, excelling at summer and winter sports. He is a member of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame. (To see a recent video interview with Dunsmore.)
