Save Our Sounds !

BBC has a great project underway: Save our Sounds.

The project, according to Steve Martin, a sound editor for BBC Radio:

Save Our Sounds aims to give people the world over a taste of "acoustic ecology", the act of capturing and preserving sounds which paint a picture of the world and which may become extinct.

Whether it's a clip of Monks in Phnom Penh or the sound of the Caribbean Rainforest after a downpour. Cool stuff ! They are organizing it into virtual galleries and have a documentary team that goes around getting their own clips as well.

If you have audio of a polar bear or an old farm tractor at a thresherman's reunion or even modern day prairie sounds why not upload it !
