In this week's Real Estate News I take a look at the history of Confusion Corner which has been confounding motorists for a century.
The root of the problem is the 1899 decision to construct Gladstone School at the foot of Pembina Highway. As motor vehicles became more popular this abrupt end to such an important highway, Winnipeg's connection to the U.S., became a major headache.
In the 1950s and 60s three projects were undertaken to try to solve the traffic bottleneck which gave us the intersection we see today !
