Where are our powerful women ?!

Late last week the Women's Executive Network announced their list of 2010's Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada.

It's a formidable list of executives and innovators from the private, public and and not-for-profit sector.

One thing it is missing, though: any women from Manitoba. Even Saskatchewan had two: Dr. Vianne Timmons, President of the University of Regina and Ann Doig, President of the Canadian Medical Association.
The closest we come is Gail Stephens, a U of M grad and former CAO of the City, now City Manager for Victoria B.C..

Is this true that we have no nationally ranked 'power women' or have they simply been overlooked ?

Not listed.

There are a couple of women - Wilgosh (head of the WRHA), Asper That I thought might be there.

As it expands int the years to come perhaps the woman who leads RRC will be on there.
